How Much Food Is Enough?

For a heart to beat, lungs to pump, and other basic functions, an average man needs around 1800 calories, a woman around 1200.

Beyond that, our bodies need energy for activity and to keep our body temperature among other things.

This count can range from 200 to 2000 calories depending on your labor; doing desk duty it will be closer to 200.
