indian cooking workshop 101





the next best thing to onion rings? samosas!
being lucky of having had an indian roomate very talented in cooking the cuisine of his country my diet has somewhat shifted to enjoying asian food.
a short terminology (according to the pictures from top to bottom):

roti: bread baked in pan

dosai: spicy pancake that comes in the size of an ufo in indian restaurants

vada: indian donut but not sweet and without a hole if home cooked

samosa: small dough pockets filled with a spiced mixture of peas, beans, carrots and potatoes, fried in oil

coconut chutney and cilantro chutney: grayvies with distinctive intense flavors (i prefer coconut)
