-- part 2 of 2 in my 2010 christmas mini series
lit candy canes, m&m cartoon figures and lights on every structure a house provides. wandering through my neighborhood it wasn't hard to find typical u.s. christmas decorations -- without comment i hope you enjoy the display.

candy canes lead the way to the house of line the border of a front lawn.

occasionally untraditional christmas icons emerge...the grinch on the very right, however, is a known one in the united states.

this christmas display either belongs to a pilot or indicates the wish to take off from all the christmas hullaballoo

lining windows, doors and roofs in another common pattern. i always wonder how long it takes to put up so many chains.

festoon is the style of choice for these christmas decorators...

...while a coldly glowing polar bear guards the lawn here

... and french overtones lean on the wheelchair ramp of this residence. (where are the two dots above the e, though? maybe the polar bear ate them?)

a rather simple display compared to competitive neighbors...

...but working better than some limp figures on other lawns.

the star of the neighborhood, more lights per square feet seem impossible -- and in reality they light up the whole street corner.
however many LEDs you choose to light, have a bright christmas time!

I really like the last one. It always brightened my day back then, when we came in our neighborhood and everything was so nice lightened.
